"In Search of Friends" and "New Adventure" carry hopeful momentum, but "Loathsome Past" and "Collapse" break that down into something genuinely heavy. "Shadow of Death" is as grim as advertised. Then "After a Fierce Battle" does that exhausted relief thing where the melody barely holds itself together.
"Time of Peace" closes it out. Earned, quiet, warm. If you played through the CROSS series and want the volume that actually made the story land, this is the one.
