Twelve tracks of bubbly mid-2000s Windows VN synth that somehow never overstays its welcome. Shiofuki Mermaid's OST leans into that playful, slightly cheesy energy you'd expect from the title. Then a few cuts further in things get surprisingly mellow. Almost wistful. The back half settles into these warm pads that feel like watching sunset light hit pool water. None of it is groundbreaking but it commits to a vibe and holds it for all twelve tracks.
