Pure MSX sound chip fury right from the opening bars of "Thunder Cloud." Shiro to Kuro no Densetsu's Asuka chapter squeezes an absurd amount of mood out of those limited channels. "Battle in the Ruins" has this rapid arpeggio pattern that sounds almost impossible on the hardware, cycling through these aggressive runs that just don't let up.

Then "Origin of Soul" pulls back into something genuinely melodic, almost wistful. The way it contrasts with "Grudge" is so deliberate. "Theme of Light and Darkness" ties the whole thing together with this dual-voice melody that the PSG handles beautifully.
