Heavy metal riffs colliding with dark ambient in a way that feels like classic Doom grew teeth. Sigil 2's dual-composer approach from Thorr and James Paddock gives it this split personality where tracks like "Cathedral Rock" lean into crunchy doom metal while "Sleep of Reason" crawls through pure tension.
"I'm the Doomguy with the Gun" is exactly as ridiculous and fun as that title suggests. The intermission track actually makes you pause and breathe before the next level tears you apart. Both composers clearly understood the assignment of scoring a Romero-designed episode in 2023 without making it sound like a nostalgia act.
If you played through Sigil 2 pistol-starting every map, this soundtrack was half the reason you kept going.
