"Snow on the Gojo Ohashi Bridge" opens with this astonishingly convincing imperial Japanese atmosphere, wind instruments crying over plucked strings while still keeping that trademark Falcom rock energy underneath. "Pagan Land" leans into darker folk textures.
The Pyramid side flips everything into ancient Egyptian territory with "Forest of Lafaune" conjuring sandstone and mystery. All arranged from humble PC-88 originals into full studio productions. If you want proof that late-80s Falcom was composing on another level entirely, this album is exhibit A.
