1991 · Genesis / Mega Drive

"Searching for Princess Claire" has this nationalistic orchestral sweep that punches way above the hardware. "Fateful Battle" goes dissonant and modernist in ways you don't expect from a 1991 dungeon crawler. The "Requiem" track features these rich woodwind phrasings that genuinely move.

This album version presents the themes in enhanced arrangements alongside the raw Genesis originals. If you love first-gen Shining series and want to hear where that whole sound started, start here.
