A time-travel visual novel about siblings flung back to ancient Japan, and the soundtrack splits neatly between tender VN scoring and vocal tracks that hit way harder than expected. "千年の時" (A Thousand Years) opens with this aching piano figure that just sits with you, perfectly scoring the weight of being displaced across centuries.
The choir version of the title track adds real warmth. But then the back half pivots into vocal contributions from different artists, each bringing their own color. "Desert" by Aku and "シグナルブルー" by Mizuiro stand out, both carrying that bittersweet tone NEKO-NEKO games do so well.
Made to celebrate the studio's 20th anniversary. If you like emotional Japanese adventure game music with a few pop-adjacent surprises, this one delivers.
