SQUARE ENIX MUSIC SAMPLER CD 2011 Vol.6

2011 · Nintendo 3DS, Gameboy, iOS, NES

The 2011 sampler catches Square Enix at one of their most eclectic moments. "Battle - Peaceful Fighting" from Type-0 is Takeharu Ishimoto doing military percussion meets orchestral urgency and it absolutely rips. Kenji Ito's Seiken Densetsu arrange album gets repped with a battle theme that reminds you he's been underrated for decades. The El Shaddai piano demo is haunting. Even the CHAOS RINGS track holds its own against these heavyweight names.

If you slept on Square's 2011 output, this sampler proves that year was stacked.
