Cold analog synth pads stretching into dark, empty space like a transmission from Neo Kobe. Akira Yamaoka scored SUDA 51's Sdatcher, a radio drama prequel to Kojima's Snatcher, and instead of mimicking the original's funk-tinged soundtrack, he went full Vangelis.
The Main Titles set the tone with spacious electronic textures that feel genuinely noir. Creeping Silence (Ver.51) lives up to its name with barely-there tones that make your skin crawl, while Gibson carries unexpected emotional gravity for a track about an android hunter.
Diner Warsaw is the one warm moment, and it hits so much harder surrounded by all that cold. The drama portions weave between Yamaoka's score seamlessly. If you ever wanted Blade Runner filtered through Kojima and Suda's shared obsessions, this is exactly that.
