An erhu cutting through soft electronic pads is not what you expect from a visual novel sequel, but that's Suika Niritsu. Circus brought back their summer-tinged storytelling for this 2011 follow-up to SUIKA, and the soundtrack leans into a more contemplative mood than the original.
"Hikari" glows with quiet optimism, while "Kageboushi" drifts into something darker and more reflective. The erhu arrangement of "fragment" adds this folk texture that feels genuinely distinctive for the genre. Only ten tracks, so it's a tight listen.
The whole thing carries that same end-of-summer weight the series is known for. If the original SUIKA's atmosphere stayed with you, this sequel's score picks up right where that feeling left off.
