"VS Captures & Trainers" sounds like someone translated a Pokemon rival fight into Mushroom Kingdom hardware. "Waluigi's Casino" riffs on Waluigi Pinball with this slinky, slightly menacing groove. The WarioWare section is a whole vibe shift, "Ashley's Mansion" going dark and funky.
So many references packed in here. If you've ever wanted to hear what happens when Mario's world gets the full Pokemon RPG treatment, this soundtrack is basically fan service in audio form.
