Then the Cave of the Evil Black Dragon tracks drop into this menacing low register that the hardware handles surprisingly well. Giselle's Theme is the standout though, melodic and personal in a way these chips usually can't pull off.
Each boss stage has its own distinct feel. The four guardian stages alone could carry the whole thing. If you dig through PC-98 soundtracks at all, this one rewards you immediately.
