This is the original 1995 release of the Tactics Ogre soundtrack and it still holds up against anything the SNES ever produced. Sakimoto and Iwata were clearly already operating at another level when they composed this. Prepare To Take The Field has this militant urgency that gets your pulse going before you've even moved a unit.

The whole score treats a strategy game like an opera and somehow it works. If you've been sleeping on SNES soundtracks beyond the usual suspects, wake up.
