Taiko no Tatsujin's Ringoame collection from 2018 is the cute and poppy side of the series' NAMCO originals, and it's way more fun than it has any right to be. ソプラノ姫 VS マオウ sets up this whole soprano princess versus demon king storyline in song form and it's delightful.

ロボットロケンロー☆ is robot rock and roll with that playful energy that makes you grin while drumming. 闇の魔法少女 goes dark magical girl and the tonal shift is so good. The whole tracklist bounces between these little narrative songs and upbeat pop numbers like カラメルタイム☆ without ever losing momentum.
If you want Taiko's wholesome, story-driven side with catchy vocal tracks, Ringoame is pure joy.
