The track titles alone tell you this one's unhinged and the music delivers on that promise completely. Taiko no Tatsujin's Watagashi collection from 2018 is where Namco's composers basically let every weird idea off the leash.

Madou Gensoukyoku opens with this fantasy-RPG grandeur that has no business slapping as hard as it does on taiko. Ryuumyaku no Ou goes full dragon king energy with thundering orchestral percussion. Then you hit stuff like My Muscle Heart, a fake magical girl anime theme song, and Tsundere Cafe e Youkoso which is exactly what it sounds like.
Denshi Drum no Tatsujin going meta about electronic drums. The whole thing feels like the dev team's inside jokes made playable, and honestly that's when Taiko is at its best.
