Ridley Hertz kept the grimy basement energy from Rebirth and cranked it sideways for Afterbirth. The Binding of Isaac's expansion soundtrack is only nine tracks but every one of them earns its spot. Morituros is the standout, this slow suffocating drone piece that makes the Hush fight feel like drowning in static.

Fundamentum takes the Burning Basement and layers crackling distortion over the original's melodic framework until it feels properly on fire. Chorus Mortis brings in these twisted choir samples for Ultra Greed that sound like a cathedral collapsing into a coin pile.
Kave Diluvii has that waterlogged reverb that just sits in your head. Short album but zero filler. If you're grinding Greed Mode you're already hearing these on loop anyway.
