Ten years of Gustavo Santaolalla's guitar telling you everything is going to hurt, repackaged and it still cuts deep. This anniversary collection pulls from across the entire Last of Us saga, and hearing the variations of "All Gone" and "Vanishing Grace" sequenced together really shows how Santaolalla built an entire emotional language out of so few notes.

"The Quarantine Zone (20 Years Later)" opens with that weight of elapsed time baked into the reverb. "The Way It Was" from Part II sneaks in with its quiet ache. "All Gone (No Escape)" is probably the most tense thing here, just suffocating.
The way these themes keep returning, changed but recognizable. If you've played both games, this collection is basically weaponized nostalgia and it will wreck you.
