Funky Fire Railroad goes off with this bouncy bass line and funk guitar that has no business being this catchy in a flashback RPG. Battle with the Demon King opens huge, all dramatic organ and driving percussion. Then Steamy Hot Springs Infiltration Mission is exactly as goofy as the name suggests, sneaky pizzicato strings and tip-toeing melody.
Stardust Island though. Pure nostalgia in audio form. The whole OST bounces between comedy, drama, and genuine heart without ever losing momentum. Worth it for anyone who misses the SNES era but wants something fresh.
