Emotional, boss-fight-only electronic music that somehow makes you feel for the monsters trying to kill you. Angel Polanco made this entire game and composed the soundtrack himself, and the fact that he taught himself music composition partly by studying Undertale's OST really shows in the best way.

"Her Adamant Will" has this determined energy that just builds and builds. "Stained Glass Battle Dance" is gorgeous, all crystalline synths and rhythmic intensity. "Trypophobia" is genuinely unsettling. Each track captures a boss's personality so specifically that you remember the fights just from the music.
"My Heart Is See Through" hits different when you realize the whole game is about emotional vulnerability wrapped in bullet hell. If you play shmups for the feelings and not just the patterns, this one gets it.
