Ok so someone made a Spore-inspired evolution sim and the soundtrack sounds like floating through a primordial ocean at 3AM. Thrive is an open-source game and the Microbe Stage score is way more atmospheric than you'd expect.

"Hydrothermal" has these deep, pulsing ambient textures that genuinely feel like pressure and heat near a volcanic vent. "Angels in a Bubble" is surprisingly delicate, almost shimmering. Then "The Saga of the Puddle" brings in this slow build that makes being a single-celled organism feel weirdly epic.
"A Microbe's Lullaby" is exactly what it sounds like and somehow it works. The whole thing is meditative in the best way. Perfect background music for anyone who ever got lost in the early stages of Spore.
