TOKYO CITY -2199- has this cold, expansive synth work that paints a dead world in neon. The trio of detective tracks, Tsuiseki, Tsuikyuu, and Tsuigeki, each build tension differently depending on the mystery angle. Then Hi-Fight just goes full adrenaline.
DEAD・OF・DEAD is as bleak as it sounds. What gets me though is how Yasuragi no Hitotoki sneaks in genuine warmth between all the horror. If you like your VN soundtracks dark and uncompromising, this one goes places.
