Touhou Sangetsusei Oriental Sacred Place Vol.3 comes from the manga companion music series, and ZUN's compositions here feel like concentrated Gensokyo atmosphere. "メイガスナイト" (Magus Night) has that classic ZUN piano-and-synth layering where the melody keeps climbing and you just let it take you.

"いたずらに命をかけて" (Staking Your Life on a Prank) perfectly captures the fairy trio's chaotic energy in musical form. "古きユアンシェン" rounds things out with something older, more grounded. Almost wistful. Three tracks shouldn't be able to establish a whole mood but these do it effortlessly.
If you read the Sangetsusei manga, hearing these fills in colors the pages couldn't.
