Toukidenshou -ANGEL EYES-

1996 · Arcade

Mid-90s arcade FM synth that goes way harder than you'd expect from an all-girl fighter. Toukidenshou Angel Eyes came out of Tecmo in 1996 and the character themes absolutely slap. "The Name Is Raiya Mikazuchi" has this aggressive guitar-driven energy that feels like it belongs in a mech anime opening.

"KANADE" for Kiriko switches to something more melodic and traditional, almost elegant. Then "Chibiko March" just throws all that mood out the window with the goofiest theme on the roster. Each character's BGM genuinely matches their personality, which most fighters from this era barely even attempted.

If you dig obscure 90s arcade soundtracks, this one's been quietly sitting there waiting.
