The Captain Harlock BGM collection carries all that weight Seiji Yokoyama built into the original series, and it still sounds enormous. Planet Mazone goes dark and alien in ways that actually feel threatening, not campy. Wanderers' Boat Song though. That one has this lonely seafaring quality that reminds you Harlock is basically a pirate story set in space.
The whole thing is only fourteen tracks but each one earns its spot. If you grew up on classic mecha and space anime, this is the sound you've been chasing.
