Twisted Trax - Twisted Metal III

1998 · Playstation

Pure late-90s aggro rock energy tuned for vehicular chaos. Twisted Metal III's soundtrack is eight tracks of crunchy PS1-era alt-rock that sounds like it belongs on a Tony Hawk knockoff in the best way. Inside Out opens with this distorted riff that immediately puts you in destruction derby mode.

Bad Day brings heavier, almost industrial-tinged guitars that match the grimier arenas. Ready To Go closes things out with enough momentum to make you restart the whole playlist. Short album, no filler. If you grew up blowing up ice cream trucks on PS1 and want that specific flavor of 1998 back, just press play.
