The guitar tone on this thing is absolutely vicious. Under Defeat is a vertical shmup that originally hit arcades and Dreamcast, and the soundtrack by Shinji Hosoe leans into this gnarly rock and electronic fusion that feels like it's trying to shoot you down alongside the bullets on screen.

"Can't Come Back" sets the pace with grinding riffs over pounding drums, pure stage-one adrenaline. "Storm Of Fine Weather" is deceptively named because it's anything but calm. Then "To The Far-Off Sky" hits with something almost bittersweet at the end.
