Undine OPNA Version Soundtracks

FM synth RPG goodness running through the OPNA sound chip and it sounds incredible. Undine on PC-88 gets this 2020 OPNA re-recording treatment that makes the YM2608 channels sing. The battle theme (戦い、それは不毛なり) hits with that classic crunchy FM distortion over rapid arpeggios, pure late-80s energy.

"Go!Go!CHERRY!!" for Chapter 3 is absurdly catchy, bouncy and bright in a way only FM synthesis can pull off. Then the cave theme (漆黒の闇) goes full dark ambient with just the chip's lower registers. The chapter themes each have their own personality, which keeps things moving across what's a pretty long tracklist.
