Three channels of pure PSG doing more emotional heavy lifting than they have any right to. Undine is a PC-88 RPG that got a 2020 PSG arrangement, and the constraints make everything hit harder. The opening theme squeezes this heroic melody out of those square waves that just sticks in your head.

The normal battle theme goes surprisingly intense for beeper-grade hardware, all rapid arpeggios holding down the harmony while the lead line shreds. Then "Go!Go!CHERRY!!" flips the energy completely, bouncy and almost silly.
The village theme though. Warm in a way that three channels shouldn't be able to pull off. If you're into the PC-88 sound and want to hear composers fight hardware limits and win, this is it.
