Synthwave dripping with neon nostalgia and late-night driving energy. Wanted (2023) is a retrowave album that wears its influences on its sleeve right from track names like "80s Love" and "Cosmic." The title track opens with thick analog synth pads that immediately set the tone, and "Dragon Heart" pushes into more dramatic, cinematic territory with layered arpeggios.
"Nights" and "Lonely Stars" both capture that feeling of cruising empty roads with city lights fading in the rearview. "Sunset Never Returns" hits with this bittersweet melody that lingers long after it ends. The whole album feels like a soundtrack to a game that doesn't exist yet...
and maybe that's the point. If you build playlists for late-night gaming sessions, half of this album belongs on there.
