"Killer Dish" goes hard with this punchy electronic combat groove, then the game literally has you singing "I Touch Myself" in a karaoke minigame. The tonal whiplash is intentional and kind of brilliant. "They Might Look Human" has this cold, mechanical pulse underneath Sugiyama's signature tension building.
And then "Through the Night" is just a genuinely sweet ballad sitting right next to all the chaos. The whole vibe is PS2-era weird. If you miss when action games had actual personality in their music, this scratches that itch.
