"WaveConnection" opens with this warm analog haze that just sits in your chest, and "雪の街" shifts into something colder, more crystalline, like watching snow through a window at night. Then "Nonstop Beat" picks up with a surprisingly propulsive groove.
The whole album has that early 2000s digital texture where everything sounds slightly compressed and dreamy. "Past Way 2 -Analog Fat Mix-" is exactly what the title promises, thick and saturated. If you're into turn-of-the-millennium Japanese electronic music, this one rewards close listening with headphones on.
