Wizardry ~Dimguil~ Original Sound Track

1999 · Playstation

PS1 Wizardry Dimguil has that late-90s dungeon RPG sound where everything feels a little haunted and a little beautiful at the same time. The Moon's Smile exists in three versions on this soundtrack and honestly each one hits differently, the guitar version especially has this aching melancholy that sticks with you.

Battle I throws you right into that tense PS1-era combat energy with punchy synths and tight percussion. Stone Labyrinth and Steel Labyrinth both nail that claustrophobic underground atmosphere where you forget what sunlight sounds like.

Theme of Annihilation goes hard for a game most people outside Japan never touched. Worth tracking down if you dig late-era PS1 RPG soundtracks that actually commit to a mood.
