"Tell Me What the Rain Knows" is Maaya Sakamoto at her most devastating, all fragile vocals over gentle piano. Between those vocal pieces, Kanno weaves in tracks like "Tsume's Sand" and "Forest of Death" that shift between melancholy and genuine danger.
"Amore Amaro" drifts into jazz territory. The way this soundtrack moves between beauty and desolation mirrors the show's whole mood perfectly. If Cowboy Bebop's music grabbed you, Kanno's work here hits just as hard.
