Yuki Kajiura came back for Xenosaga III and closed out the trilogy with some of her most intense work. "the battle of your soul" is relentless, all driving strings and urgent percussion that makes every boss fight feel final.

"hepatica(Kos-Mos)" is the emotional payoff the whole series builds toward, this fragile vocal melody that just breaks you if you know the story. "promised pain" sits in that uncomfortable space between beauty and grief that Kajiura does better than anyone.
