Tropical pinball metroidvania is not a genre that should exist, but here we are and the music is fantastic. Yoku's Island Express has this sun-soaked, island-groove soundtrack that mixes steel drums, marimbas, and light electronic elements.

"Welcome To Mokumana Beach" is instant relaxation with its breezy percussion and warm bass lines. "The Crystalline Depths" takes things underground with sparkly, cave-echo textures that still keep the rhythm going. Then "Flight Of The Space Monks" just goes completely sideways into this cosmic tribal territory that somehow still fits.
The whole soundtrack feels like a vacation you didn't know you needed. If you want something that sounds like a beach day but plays like a pinball table, this is exactly that.
