The Kuricorder Pops Orchestra made an image album for Yotsuba&! and it sounds like pure condensed sunshine. Masaki Kurihara composed this thing as a day-in-the-life concept album, starting at "Dawn" and winding through to "Song of Shopping" in the evening, and every single track radiates warmth.
"I'm Hungry Marching Song" is this goofy little recorder-driven march that captures Yotsuba's chaotic energy perfectly. "Summer Afternoon" slows everything down into this lazy, hazy instrumental that you can feel on your skin.
The whole album uses acoustic instruments, recorders, ukulele, gentle percussion. "Yotsuba's Little Big Adventure" bounces with this wide-eyed curiosity that matches the manga panel for panel. If you love Yotsuba&! at all, hearing her world translated into music like this is an absolute treat.
