The Ys MMO that almost nobody played but the soundtrack absolutely did not deserve to go down with it. Ys Online: The Call of Solum remixes classic Ys themes alongside original compositions and both sides hold up. "Cursed Pagan" reimagines "To Make the End of Battle" for an MMO boss context and it still goes hard.

The dungeon tracks like "Les Mauvais Dieux" and "The Sirius Deception" build this dark, tense atmosphere that most online games never bother with. "Another Story" reworks Feena into something wistful and new. Honestly kind of fascinating hearing Falcom write for a persistent world instead of a single-player adventure.
If you thought you'd heard every version of these Ys classics, this one probably slipped past you.
