"Theme of the Romun Empire" carries this authoritative brass-heavy march that immediately signals military power. "Theme of Viking" shifts into raw, driving percussion with a melodic edge that feels appropriately fierce.
Surprisingly varied for just ten tracks. "Theme of the Xandria Dynasty" pulls in Middle Eastern scales and instrumentation that stands apart from the more European-leaning themes. The whole score reads like a world map you can hear.
If you're a Ys completionist who hasn't dug into the strategy spinoff, the faction themes alone are worth the curiosity.
