"Sunshine Coastline" might be the single most infectious field theme Falcom has ever written. Ys VIII's complete soundtrack is massive and every track earns its place. The opening hours alone bounce between breezy exploration tunes and "Crimson Fighter" hitting you with that vintage Ys shred-guitar-meets-violin intensity during combat.

"Lacrimosa of DANA" carries this melancholy weight that the whole back half of the game leans into, piano and strings building toward something that genuinely wrecked me the first time. "Lost in Green" just... atmosphere for days.
