Machigerita turned Yume Nikki into a waltz and it works way better than it should. Three vocal tracks built around the surreal loneliness of that RPG Maker classic, each one carrying this off-kilter sweetness that mirrors the game's dream logic.

"ゆめにっきのためのワルツ" has this lilting 3/4 feel that sounds like a music box someone left running in an empty room. "ゆめのうた" pulls back into something softer, almost lullaby territory. The karaoke versions strip the vocals and honestly they hit harder, just the bare bones of these arrangements exposed.
Only six tracks but they all land. If Yume Nikki ever made you feel something you couldn't explain, this puts words to it.
