This soundtrack has no business going this hard for a racing game about saving up money to buy car parts. Zero4 Champ RR-Z on the SNES packs like 38 tracks into what's essentially a life sim with drag racing. MIDNIGHT RACER has this tense SPC700 bassline that sounds more like a crime thriller than a quarter-mile sprint.

Then DETECTIVE STORY leans full noir, and somehow it works? WILD SPEED does the obvious adrenaline thing but XTRA TRAGICOMEDY hits you with this weirdly emotional melody out of nowhere. There's even an RPG Field track because of course this game has an RPG minigame.
