"Smell of the Game" and the character themes still dominate the front half. But then you hit tracks like "Machination" and "Dissociation" and realize the story mode scoring is doing serious emotional work. "Nostalgia" is genuinely beautiful in a way the combat tracks never try to be.
"Horror" and "Baleful" go somewhere dark and tense. The contrast between screaming guitar solos and quiet atmospheric tracks called "Calm" and "Serene" is... a lot. Grab this over Vol.1 if you want everything, not just the fight music.
