Mike Morasky's score for Half-Life: Alyx Chapter 03 is where the game starts throwing real combat at you, and the music matches that escalation beat for beat. "I Love This Gun" has this almost gleeful momentum, like Alyx finally getting armed changes the entire frequency of the soundtrack.

"Extra-Dimensional Darkness" drops into Xen-adjacent weirdness with layered drones that feel genuinely alien. "Harsh Industrial Train Crash" is exactly as violent as the name suggests. "The Advisors" brings back that specific brand of Half-Life cosmic dread, slimy and enormous.
And then "Prisoner Pod" goes quiet in a way that's somehow worse. The track called "B3PbIBONACHOCTb" is Cyrillic for a reason. Everything in City 17 is. If you want the chapter where Alyx stops hiding and starts fighting, this is that turning point in audio form.
