"Rumpelsee" and "Brodelvulkan" sound exactly as wild as their names suggest. The N64 hardware gives everything that crunchy, compressed warmth that modern games can't replicate. Boss themes like "Hallo Wizpig" have this cartoonish menace that perfectly matches chasing a giant pig on a rocket.
The variety here is nuts. Snow levels, space tracks, pirate lagoons. Each world has its own sound and David Wise made sure every single one slaps. If you grew up arguing that Diddy Kong Racing was better than Mario Kart 64, this soundtrack is your evidence.
