Heavy industrial beats crashing into J-pop sweetness with zero warning. iFUTURELIST is a 2006 arcade album from Akira Yamaoka, the Silent Hill guy, and it sounds like him going completely off the leash. LOVE ME DO is aggressive and catchy in a way that shouldn't work but absolutely does.

The track titled Showa-era Corporate Warrior Section Chief Arayama LOLITA ON BREAKS MIX is real and it goes off. Maria and Adjust Rain pull into moodier territory. Darker, more atmospheric. You can hear the Silent Hill DNA even when he's making dance music.
Then you get stuff like April Fool Song and bitmania that are just playful chaos. The whole album refuses to sit still. Essential listening if you want to hear Yamaoka unhinged in an arcade setting.
