Mushihimesama Futari's 2007 arcade sequel brings back that CAVE bullet hell intensity with a soundtrack that matches the escalation bullet for bullet. "Bestial Beat" as the boss theme lives up to its name with pounding rhythms and aggressive synth leads that hit while you're sweating through patterns.

"Sea of Frozen Crystals" for Stage 2 has this cold, beautiful shimmer layered over relentless drive. Then "Cry! Scream!!" for the last boss just goes completely unhinged. The bonus image song "The Golden Star Fallen During a Short Night" is a surprising vocal track that adds emotional weight to a game about a nine-year-old prince fighting giant bugs.
Voice collections for Reco and Palm included too, which is... very CAVE of them. For shmup fans who thought the first Mushihimesama was too calm.
