The battle loops escalate from tense to frantic without ever giving you a clean resolution, which is the whole point. Location cues like "Shipgraveyard Start" and "Superdune Start" set mood before combat even begins, all dusty reverb and low-frequency dread.
The ambient tracks are where it really gets under your skin though. Just suffocating atmosphere. This isn't a military shooter soundtrack that wants you to feel cool. It wants you to feel complicit. Essential listening if you think war games should make you uncomfortable.
