The Book of Unwritten Tales features a score that treats its comedy adventure world with the same respect as a serious RPG. "The Hall of the Mountain Dwarfs" goes heavy with deep brass and thundering percussion that feels properly underground and massive. "Seastone" shifts to something coastal and wistful, then "Seastone Sad" revisits it with this aching melancholy that caught me off guard.
The closing Suite ties everything together into one grand piece. Funny game, completely un-funny level of compositional craft. If you play point-and-click adventures for the atmosphere as much as the puzzles, this score absolutely delivers.
