Mouko Shougun hits with heavy brass and war drums that feel appropriately massive for cavalry charges across desert plains. Boukyuu Funrei carries this melancholy string melody that just aches. Ikkitousen ramps up into full battle mode with layered percussion driving everything forward.

The whole thing captures that specific 90s OVA quality where the music budget clearly went hard despite only having a handful of episodes. If you're into classic anime fantasy scores this is peak era for the genre.
