Something about this soundtrack feels like it's playing memories back in the wrong order. Unreal Life is this indie adventure game about touching objects to see their pasts, and the music mirrors that disorientation perfectly.

"Lo-Fi district" and "Lo-Fi alley" sit in this hazy, warm pocket of lo-fi ambient that makes you forget where you are. Then "Dance Hall Crisis" jolts you out with unexpected rhythm. The way "Sound of the Mind" fragments across versions from Empty to Full to Fading is genuinely clever sound design.
"Fish & trains" into "Fish & fish & fish & trains" though. That naming alone. If you play indie games for the atmosphere, this soundtrack basically is the game.
